· Stains may not ruin your teak furniture but they can be a chore to remove. Light sanding following the wood grain may effectively remove the stain. If however, you prefer not to have to deal with stains, use well fitted covers on your pieces of furniture.

· Teak can resist water and UV light exposure. It is still always a good idea though to try to protect any kind of wood furniture from exposure to moisture and light. Aside from using covers on your furniture, you can also make it a habit to take your outdoor set in during bad or extreme weather conditions.
